So recenlty i've been trying to see if I CAN change my style a bit. I find that i don't like MOST cartoony styles, but I know that when it comes to animating, trying to draw something semi realistic isn't the best choice of all.
So a days ago i doodled this:
It's more cartoony than I usually draw. I tried thinking of shapes instead of like...skeletons and joings and curves as I usually do when I draw my other style. aside form the hands, I liked this. I especally liked the nose. hahaha.
As some of you know, I'm doing what I call Re-Chongifying my summer. I realized that i didnt put nearly as much effort into my chong assingments as I REALLy needed to. I have a long way to come as far as putting together a story/film so I wanted to go back and really spend the much needed time on my chong assingments. The next storyboard is the mail man assingment. So in my new style, I wanted to draw me some mail man designs. :D
Hahahh. It's funny drawing a bunch of characters seperately and then putting them on the same page. lol. I liked this a lot because they're all different from eachother, yet they all look like male men/women. I remember vaugely reading in one of Chongs handouts the way the cast memebers of...Aliens?? I'm not sure what movie, but they all wore the same outfit, but they wore it differently or modified it to suit thier personality. I totally thought about that when I drew these. I think it shows. lol. I really wanted to play with the different shades of light and dark blues and i wanted to play with the color of their messenger bags. Of course the Weho one has a fierce, out there, red bag. lol.
This is fun. I'm enjoying myself! Drawing pleasant things makes my life a little happier. :)
I desperatley miss cal ats! lol. I cant wait to see all my classmates again! I've changed a little over the summer and I want them to notice. lol. :0
